Research:

Details can be found at the Centre for Photonics and Photonic Materials (CPPM) website

Teaching:

PH30101 (General Relativity): I teach the whole unit, on General relativity without tensors, in year 3 semester 2. There's a handout on non-Euclidean paper models, and an exercise exploring a time-travel paradox.
PH40086 (Photonics): I teach half the unit, on linear photonics (mostly optical fibres), in year 4 semester 2.
Details can be found on the appropriate Moodle page.
Of the units I taught in the past, I produced typeset notes on Fourier analysis (half of PH20020, Maths for Scientists 4) and Statistical mechanics (half of PH20029, Thermal Physics). They're available here in case anyone finds them helpful. (NB Bath students should note that content, notation and terminology may differ from the units as they are currently taught.)
