Country

Different contries will have thair strenghts and weakneses in the different varieties of wine they produce. However picking one country over another is usually down to personal preference. See our section on the main winemaking contries to learn more about them.

Age

People tend to think that wine is better aged, and to a certain extent that is true. However, the vast majority of the wine we buy is made to be drunk within a few days of purchase. To learn more, Click Here to look at our section on aging wine.

The Label

I find that the label is a good indication of quality. A well presented and designed label usually shows the winemaker has taken care over all the aspects of the production of a wine.
