Dr Sam E. Neale Sam joined the University of Bath in February 2021 as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate. He will be working on the joint EPSRC grant for "Nucleophilic Alkaline Earth Boryls" with our synthetic collaborators Mike Hill and Alex Cresswell - both based here at Bath.
Sam joins us after 14 months at the University of Ghent, working at the Centre for Molecular Modeling under the supervision of Veronique Van Speybroeck. His research focussed on palladium-catalysed C-H activation within zeolites. Previously, he was a PhD student with Prof. Stuart A. Macgregor at Heriot-Watt University working on a variety of projects, including a project with Bath's own Ruth Webster on iron-NacNac-catalysed transfer hydrogenation. Before heading to Edinburgh, Sam did his MSc project in the Harvey group at the University of Bristol. He maintains his own webpages here. |
