Some finance related tips Free accommodation as resident tutor Demonstrating, invigilating, note taking this pays over £10 an hour but this is casual term-time-only work. After starting your degree, take the course for demonstrators at your earliest opportunity. If you are coming from overseas, you should be aware that while medical care is free in the UK dental and optical services can be quite expensive. Therefore it may be a good idea to visit your dentist and optician in your home country in advance of your trip. Skype is a good way to maintain contact with family and friends abroad, you can install Skype software on your computer. “3 mobile” phone company comes with unlimited use of Skype as standard in all “pay as you go” and contract phones which allows you to call others who are logged on in Skype and anyone to call you for free to your mobile phone using Skype. PLEASE NOTE: these tips are true to my best of knowledge but always check carefully what you are buying before parting from any cash. |
