Welcome to my webpage

I am Sergey Dolgov. I am an applied mathematician and work as a EPSRC fellow at University of Bath. My research focuses mainly on numerical solution of high-dimensional problems with tensor product decompositions and corresponding algorithms. Curious where are high-dimensional problems in our world and what is the meaning of “tensor” or “tensor product”? There is more info at my Research page.

Short CV

I studied at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. In the third year I joined the group of Prof Eugene Tyrtyshnikov at Institute of Numerical Mathematics of Russian Academy of Sciences, where I did my B.Sc and M.Sc. After that, I spent three years in Leipzig doing PhD with Prof Boris Khoromskij. In 2014 I became a postdoc at Max Planck Institute in Magdeburg with Prof Peter Benner and Dr Martin Stoll. In the end of 2015 I moved to Bath. More details are in the third tab. Full academic CV is available on request.
