| To take the 3D medical imaging raw data from my brother's MRI scan
and isolate and extract the geometrical information of the brain surface. The required
end product was a one quarter scale 3D-print of the resulting form using a rapid prototyping
machine to provide the ultimate original birthday present. |

- Research medical file format
- Create an interactive graphical interface to manipulate the solid data voxel information and allow visualisation in 2D slices and 3D render
- Derive algorithms for brain surface detection and volumetric encapsulation
- Liaise with rapid prototyping company to provide data in a solid model printable format
