Rockets
HAB was then launched on a "P" motor rocket supplied by the Rocket Mavericks, a group of semi-professional rocket enthusiasts with a strong interest in promoting STEM education and research. HAB made it to 8km high and reached Mach 1.4 before unceremoniously returning to the ground without a parachute and crashing into the desert floor.
The HAB rocket was a test launch for The Clotho Project sponsored by Sony and Intel and the basis of a Science Channel Documentary and an Emmy Award Winning Quest Documentary.
