| Conceived in response to the Great East Midlands Landmark Competition,
the Sky Vault structure consists of a cable net supported on either side by steel
arches to span a major roadway. The structure incorporates a fully integrated
pedestrian bridge and artistic lighting scheme. |
My Role : |

- Form-finding of the equal-mesh hanging cable-net geometry
- Liaising with architects over site constraints
- Provide information for Planning and Highways Agency approval processes
- Load analysis and design of cable-net and massive arch-beam system
