In 2006/07 I taught MA10003, Integration and Differential Equations. I have been responsible for the major change in this unit, whereby it is given as a supported self study unit. Final Year Projects

I welcome enquiries from students interested in carrying out final year projects with me. I can supervise projects in mathematical biology and projects in mathematical education.

Recent education projects include: Resource based learning in Mathematics; UCAS offers:- The use of additional testing methods to distinguish between potential candidates for mathematical sciences degree programmes; Learning mathematics across the school-university interface.

I am also involved in the Communicating Mathematics Project which is co-ordinated by Professor Chris Budd. I give sessions on evaluating your work.

Summer Project Opportunities

I welcome enquiries from students about summer project opportunities using schemes such as the Nuffield Bursary Scheme.
