Vision, Video, and Graphics: Home site

This is the home page of the Vision, Video, and Graphics community, or VVG community. The VVG community comprises a self-selecting group of people who are interested in the emerging "convergence" area that brings together work from computer vision, digital video, and computer graphics. The community includes members from academia, industry; scientists, engineers, and artists. The VVG communities remit is to promote convergence in the UK. It organises conferences and other meetings, and also has funds (courtesy of an EPSRC network grant)to support cross-discipline exchange within the community.

Anyone in the community is welcome (encouraged, in fact) to apply and join in with network activities.

Areas of interest to the VVG network

We are interested in any research that somehow involves at least two of the three community themes: Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, and Computer Vision. Interest areas include but are not limited to

The school is to be taught by top class researchers, is in-expensive, but some bursaries are available. See the school web site for details.

Workshop

VVG is running a workshop in September 2007 as an adjunct to the British Machine Vision Conference 2007. See our call for participation for details of the workshop, and the BMVC website for details on the larger conference.
