I am working as a Research Software Engineer with the RSE Facility (a Core Research Facility). We provide support and advice on creating and maintaining sustainable research software for researchers within the University. Prior to joining the team in 2025, I was in the same role at the RSE Team at the University of Exeter.
I finished my PhD with the Department of Mathematical Sciences in 2016 titled "Adaptive mesh methods for numerical weather prediction", funded as an EPSRC CASE Award with the Met Office. This work was a continuation of work done by Dr. Emily Walsh for her PhD. My supervisor in Bath was Prof. Chris Budd and my Met Office Supervisor was Dr. Thomas Melvin.
For the 2010-11 Academic year I did an MSc in Modern Applications of Mathematics at the University of Bath. My summer project was titled "Error analysis in electrical impedance tomography imaging" supervised by Prof. Chris Budd and Prof. Manuchehr Soleimani. Prior to that I completed my BSc in Mathematics at the University of Plymouth.
