Instructions: In order to calculate the sound pressure level at the building when subjected to a sound at a certain distance away, drag the bottom slider to change the distance of the building from the sound source and drag the slider on the left to change the sound pressure level of the source object. After these are selected press one of the buttons on the right to choose the type of source object. A window will pop up telling you the SPL of the source, the distance of the building to the source object and the SPL at the building. Press reset to remove this window.
When calculating the SPL from a finite length line source type the value of the line length into the box below and click the "Reset Length" button to confirm this length. The Line source button will then use this value of the length.
