Structure Data

Vortex is designed to be used in conjunction with Autodesk's Robot Software.

Node and bar data may be copy and pasted directly from Robot tables into the relevant fields on the 'Structure Data' tab.

The below video demonstrates this process.

Headings and extra lines will be removed during validation, as will extra columns to the right of the required data.

Node and bar data from other software may be utilised provided data is inputted in the format described, with individual 'columns' delimited with tab, and individual rows delimited by a new line.

Calculations

Calculation breakdowns are provided in the calculations tab.

All calculations are conducted to BS EN 1991-1-4:2005 and the UK national annex (NA to BS EN 1991-1-4:2005).

Note to Paul

Example Robot files are included within the 'template' folder of the submission.

Notepad files with correctly formatted bar and node data are also provided in the same folder.
