Workshop
“Application
of lectins in various format of analysis for glycoprofiling”
Slovak Academy of Sciences, 23
January 2014
You are cordially
invited to attend a PROSENSE workshop entitled “Application
of lectins in various format of analysis for glycoprofiling” which is hosted by Institute of
Chemistry at Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS) and will run for 1 day (January 23rd
2014).
This workshop has
been designed to provide you with a detailed overview of the application of lectins in various formats of analysis for glycoprofiling and glycorecognition.
A detailed examination of current technologies used for glycoprofiling,
and glyco-characterisation and the use of the optical
and electrochemical biosensors based on surface plasmon
resonance, lectin microarray and electrochemical
based systems will be included. In addition, we will cover the use of lectins in combination with mass spectrometry for detection
of glycobiomarkers.
There will be a
question & answer session which will include case-study discussions
outlining potential issues and their solutions. Practical sessions covering
aspects of previously discussed technologies, and additionally the use of
analytical techniques for screening will also play a big part.
Registration for the
full workshop is €100 (student rate €75). This will allow you access to all
presentations outlined in the programme, daily catering and attendance at the
workshop dinner.
