Probabilistic global well-posedness of a geometric nonlinear wave equation for supercritical data

I will discuss a recent result, obtained jointly with Jonas Luhrmann and Gigliola Staffilani, concerning global solutions for the energy critical Maxwell–Klein Gordon system for data below energy regularity. This will also involve a wider discussion of the key issue, namely certain low-high interactions of non-perturbative type, which manifest in various other contexts, for example the concentration-compactness approach to large data global existence for geometric wave equations.
