Anisotropic notions of inverse mean curvature flow

Inverse mean curvature flow starting from stable minimal surfaces was used in time-symmetric initial data sets for Einstein’s equations to exhaust regions of an asymptotically flat space-like slice that are external to an outermost horizon described by a minimal surface. For initial data sets that are not time-symmetric the lecture explores anisotropic generalisations of inverse mean curvature flow that are adapted to horizons in the general setting.
