Dr Andreas Krause
Assistant Professor in Economics

I am Assistant Professor in Economics at the Department of Economics of the University of Bath, UK.

My research focuses on the areas of banking and finance. I have a special interest in the systemic risk banks and the application of network theory in this field. Methodologically, I often work with agent-based models to assess the interactions between banks, depositors and borrowers, but also use conventional economic theories using representative agent models. As a secondary research interest, I have worked on the evolution of stock prices using agent-based modelling with an emphasis on the social interactions between traders and its implications for stock prices.

Over the years I have taught a wide range of modules across the entire spectrum of banking and finance. Currently my main teaching is on commercial and investment banking, as well as financial markets at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

I am available for the supervision of PhD students. More information on my research interests and possible research topics can be found in the research rubric.
