Dinosaurs

The Jurassic was the time when dinosuars ruled the earth. There were many different species of dinosaur adapted to live in a variety of environments all over the world. Dinosuars first appeared during the Triassic and flourished until the end of the Cretaceous, when they became extinct. The two main ideas about why the dinosaurs and many other species became extinct are:-
  • Massive eruptions of flood basalts in India.
  • A meteorite impact into the present Gulf of Mexico.
In the picture is a large carnivorous dinosaur, and some Brachiosaurs, herbivorous dinosaurs. Flying across the top of the picture are some pterosaurs.
