Does Size Matter?
We can model 3-D nanocrystals to see the effect of size on the
reactivity of surfaces. The study will include evaluating the affect of corners
and edges:
We can predict where a reaction is more likely to occur on the
surface by evaluating the free energy at different positions on the
surface.
We are also interested in looking at aggregation of nanocrystals.
We can observe the structural changes that occur during aggregation and look at
the conditions that affect colloid stability.
