Ria Atri

Ria graduated from University College London in 2016 with an MSci in Chemistry. During her final year project, she investigated the synthesis of ternary metal sulfides for application as solar absorber materials. Following her degree, she decided to move the monumental distance of 125 miles from her hometown to Bath and join the CSCT.

Ria’s PhD project involves investigating the use of deep eutectic solvents (DESs) as media for inorganic materials synthesis. She is co-supervised by Dr Hannah Leese, Prof. Frank Marken and Dr Salvador Eslava.

When not in the lab she enjoys cooking, reading, exploring new places, and window shopping for things she can’t afford due to living on a PhD stipend.
