Kerrie Morrison

Kerrie first tried her hand at getting membrane proteins out of membranes during her BSc in Cell and Molecular Biology at Aston University. After her undergraduate degree she decided to try her had at adulting hard for a bit and got a real job at a real biotech company, Asterand Bioscience in the picturesque town of Royston. However after two years there she realised that she missed academia and not paying council tax too much so joined the CSCT.

Kerrie’s project involves the further development of the polymer nanodiscs as an aid to membrane protein purification. She is co-supervised by Dr Paul Whitley, Prof. Gareth Price (both Bath), Dr James Doutch and Dr Luke Clifton (ISIS).

When she isn’t slogging it away in the lab, you can find her painting, hiking, or commuting by train from Chippenham.
