Iva

Iva joined the ERG in 2019 working with self-assembly and nanoparticle synthesis in Deep Eutectic Solvents. Her interests lie in using scattering technique to understand mechanisms behind molecular self-assembly and its impact on material properties and growth. She did her PhD at the University of Edinburgh on “Structural Basis for the Rheology of Molten Chocolate: A Multi-Technique Approach”. After that she did a teaching fellowship at the University of Edinburgh working with first year CDT students looking at rheology modification in particle and surfactant stabilised emulsions before joining the ERG.

Outside of work, Iva enjoys hiking, cycling and strategy board games.
