Bristol Ice Skating Club

The Competition will be held at John Nike Leisure Sport

Bristol Ice Rink on Wednesday ~ 11th MARCH 2009

Regulations

1. All competitors must be eligible skaters as defined by National Ice Skating Association (N.I.S.A.)

2. All Competitions will be held in accordance with regulations and bylaws of NISA.

It is a requirement of this competition that all competitors are a paid up member of NISA by the closing date for entries.

Entry forms must include your NISA membership number otherwise entry will not be accepted.

3 Your Licensed coach's name, membership/licence number is required in order that your coach may accompany you to ice level at this event.

If you do not have Licensed coach this will not prevent you entering the competition but any non-licensed coach will not be accredited and therefore cannot accompany you to ice level. Please note on entry if this is relevant.

4 All competitors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

5. The Organising Committee reserve the right to refuse any entry without reason assigned.

6. The Committee reserve the right to combine, split or cancel any competition deemed necessary.

7. ONLY Audio CD or Mini Disc Music will be accepted – non vocal. All music must be clearly marked with the competitors name, competition and class.

9. Age as at the closing date of the Competition.

11 Competitors wishing receipt of their entry should enclose a second stamped addressed envelope.

12. Only named persons may cancel their entry.

13 Winners must sign receipts for the trophies and return the trophies to Bristol Ice Skating Club

when requested.

14. In the event of an entry being cancelled after the closing date entry fees will not be refunded.

15. The draw will be held at Bristol Ice Rink at a date and time agreed with the Referee, but will be within the 7 days immediately preceding the event.

16. No flash photography during competition or warm-ups on or off ice is permitted.

17. Referees permission is required for video and photography. Only parents/guardians of competitors may video / photograph competitor in accordance with Child Protection and Data Protection rules and legislation

18. The personal details supplied by competitors on the application form will be held on computer files and used for the purposes of organising timetables, running the competitions, calculations of results from marks given by the judges and for statistical analysis.

19. Entry fee for all Competitions = £23.00

20 In the event of only one entry for a competition at the closing date the competitor has the opportunity to withdraw or to skate to the standard of the competition. To receive the trophy the competitor must achieve the standard of the competition.

All applications must have NISA membership and where applicable a photocopy of Skate UK passport.

Please note: the judges for this event will be situated at one end of the rink behind the barrier and not mid way down one side as is generally more traditional.

Photo copies of entry forms will be accepted.
