Andy Burrows
Andy Burrows was born in Ipswich, Suffolk and received his B.A. and D.Phil. degrees from the University of Oxford, the latter under the supervision of Professor Mike Mingos. Following a post-doc in Strasbourg with Professor Pierre Braunstein, he held a Fixed-Term Lectureship at Imperial College, before moving to the University of Bath in 1996. He was promoted to a Chair in Inorganic Chemistry in 2016 and was Head of the Department of Chemistry from 2018 to 2023. He is currently Associate Dean (Education) in the Faculty of Science. He has published over 160 papers and co-authored a major undergraduate textbook. He lives with his partner, their son and their dog.
