Hint of vanilla, ice cream, limey, good acid balance, Ed Gewurz? Restrained Riesling.

Too aromatic to be chardonnay, sweet entry, ripe, good acidity not as spicy as Gewurz but of that type

Quintessentially oaky, banana custard, vanilla, good balance, limyness, not subtle enough to be French, lacks elegance, a little short. Odd cepage Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Aligote

Sweet ,earthy, good balance and weight, old worldly, something odd or missing – not one of SM best but

a privilege to try – need more H of G

Great tasting 12 + 12 – barely a poor wine, every tried to make a link to theme

Good to see the Big G, but he was quite late, so he had a little section all to himself.
