CV :: Roger Jardine

I undertook novel research in the field of colloid science, involving both theoretical and practical aspects of chemistry and physics.
During my research I discovered it was more productive, and more interesting, to collaborate with other scientists and I also made use of the facilities of various external research centres, particularly during a number of visits to Amsterdam and Grenoble.
I presented one aspect of my work at the 216th American Chemical Society Conference in Boston, USA in August 1998. I have written a few papers, published in esteemed chemistry and physics journals.
In addition to improving my logical and analytical skills, during this time I also learned to work independently, I improved my organizational skills, and increased my mental persistence and endurance!

My most enjoyable final year courses included Chaos in Chemistry, Neural Networks, Quantum Mechanics and Artificial Intelligence.
My final year project was the construction of the first "Internet Zeolite Database" which later inspired a number of official versions.

I achieved ten GCSE’s grades A-C and four A-levels:
