After spending a few years in academic research to gain a doctorate in chemistry, I decided to follow my interests in computing. I believe my capacity to learn and adapt rapidly is well suited to the dynamic world of computing and I enjoy the constant challenges of working in a field that is noted for rapid change.
I have acquired a number of specific technical skills, as implied or stated in the other sections of this CV, but I don't wish to place too much importance on these, I know I can quickly acquire whatever skills and knowledge will help us achieve our targets. My ability to listen and understand, and to talk to and be understood by, people with a diverse range of technical abilities is something I would like to emphasize.
