RT Web forms:
The Web forms allow users to enter details of their query. They interface diectly in RT. The web forms (which can be written in perl) submit to a Perl script that grabs the user input and forwards it to RT.
1. SAMIS
There is one web form for Samis related requests. The web form is used by the following Samis applications:
ROL Samis on the Web Student Lookup Samis static pages
The web form is written in Perl, which gives us the flexibility to vary the form slightly depending on where we are. So, if the user links from ROL, we carry across the username and student code, if the user is a member of staff linking from Samis on the Web we can pre-populate the form with the users email address etc.
