Below are a list of previous long term visitors to Prob-L@B Janos Englander (2007) Janos visited the lab in the summer of 2007 as an EPSRC visiting researcher. During his stay he gave a course onVictor Rivero (2007-2008) Victor Rivero visited the lab during the academic year of 2007-2008 with partial funding from the Royal Society and EPSRC. During this period he undertook research with Andreas Kyprianou, Peter Mörters and Juan Carlos Pardo.Julien Berestycki (2008-present) Julien Berestycki has been a regular visitor to the laboratory since 2008. Initially he was funded by the Royal Society. He also spent more time during his sabbatical in Bath in 2009-2010. Julien Berestycki continues to make regular research visits to Bath. He has undertaken research with Andreas Kyprianou, Peter Mörters and Simon Harris.Vadim Shcherbakov (2007-2010) Vadim Shcherbakov was a member of the laboratory as a temporary lecturer from 2007-2009 and returned in 2010 as a long term visitor with Royal Society funding. During his stay in Bath he has undertaken research with Mathew Penrose.Jon Warren (Semester 1, 2010/11) Jon Warren spent September-December 2010 in Bath as part of his sabbatical.Guenter Last (Spring 2011) Guenter Last visited the laboratory as a Royal Society Incoming International Visitor for several weeks during which time he undertook research with Mathew Penrose and Peter Peter Mörters as well as giving a short graduate course on stochastic geometry and contributing to a Minisymposium on random measures.Sabbatical: Simon Harris (Semester 1, 2012/13) Simon Harris was a visiting professor at the Laboratoire de Probabilités et Modèles Aléatoires , Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI) for six months.Sabbatical: Andreas Kyprianou (Semester 1, 2012/13) Andreas Kyprianou was visiting professor at the Forschungsinstitute für Matematik, ETH Zürich, where he gave a Nachdiplomvorlesung.Vasileios Maroulas (2013-2014) Vasileios Maroulas is a visiting Leverhulme visiting fellow from the University of Tennessee. He has research interests in Non-linear filtering with applications in biology, defense and finance, large deviations and applications to image analysis, S(P)DEs, sequential analysis and applications to target detection and estimation, stochastic optimization and stochastic aviation.Sabbatical: Andreas Kyprianou (Semester 1, 2013/14) Alex Cox spent his sabbatical as a visitor at CMAP, Ecole Polytechnique, Carnegie Mellon University, and the Oxford-Man Institute of Quantitative Finance. |
