Conference dinner
On Thursday 26/06 there will be a conference dinner at Aqua Restaurant (see location in the map of the city).
The dinner will be a three-course meal. Here is the menu of the dinner. You can select one choice of starter, main course and dessert.
The cost of the dinner is £35, to be paid together with the registration fee, and includes food only (one choice of starter, main course and dessert). Drinks can be purchased at the restaurant, during the dinner.
Accommodation on campus
Participants staying on campus will have an en-suite room in The Quads.
Minibus from the city to the campus
A minibus has been arranged to bring speakers to campus every morning. The minibus will leave at 8:30am (sharp) on Sunday, and 8:40am (sharp) on the other days, from Windsor Guest House (see location in the map of the city) and will stop at the main bus stop on campus (which is very close to the Chancellor's building).
The minibus is avaiable to all participants that want to take it. But if you are not a speaker and would like to use the minibus to come to campus, please send an email to the organizer so that we can assure there will be enough seats on the bus.
There will be no minibus to take participants back to the city center in the afternoon.
Other commuting options
To commute between the city center and the university, use bus lines U1 or U18 (they are essentially identical). You can purchase the ticket directly on the bus. The buses U1 and U18 belong to different companies; if you purchase a multiple-journey ticket in one bus line, you will not be able to use this ticket in the other bus line.
You can also call a taxi on 01225 444 444.
Walking from the city center to the university is possible, but it includes a long and steep hill and takes around 45min. The other direction (from the university to the city center) is a pleasant and scenic walk when the weather is nice.
