That Super Bowl time of year

Watching the Super Bowl in the UK means a pretty late bedtime and actually knowing who the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers are (sorry). But the halftime bit is what really gets everyone talking.

This year, Coldplay took to the stage - also joined by special guests Bruno Mars, and Beyonce who just dropped a brand new track Formation earlier in the week.

Coldplay sung some of their greatest hits including Yellow, Fix You, Viva la Vida, Paradise, and their latest Adventure of a Lifetime. But then, because Coldplay are mates with everyone, and this is the big Super Bowl 5-0, they called for reinforcements in the form of Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars (for a bit of Uptown Funk), and then Beyonce turned up and pretty much showed everyone why they call her Queen B. She made a powerful political statement with references to Malcolm X and the Black Lives Matter campaign in the first live performance of Formation.

In case you missed it, here's a very blurry catchup

Oh, and Lady Gaga SLAYED the National Anthem

But now people are saying Coldplay were definitely side-lined.

Watch it for yourself and see what you think, but the People of the Internet have been contributing their memes and other funny things to show what they thought. Three's a crowd?

But hey, Taylor loved it.

Anyway, we thought it was good. Hands up if you want these three to form a Super Group?

(But let's face it, it would probably still be the Beyonce Show)
