One Direction's new direction: boyband set to disband in 2016.

Be still, breaking hearts. Is this the end of One Direction?
Head of Online

One Direction have reportedly called it a day...for now.

We reported earlier this year when Zayn Malik left the band, and it looks like more tears are about to be shed all over the world. X Factor's formerly-baby-faced boyband are set to take an extended hiatus to work on their solo careers from 2016, which means they won't tour their upcoming fifth (and final?) album.

Bu-u-ut, according to reports by The Sun, it's not the end and they will get back together again. This mystery source added, 'They fully deserve to have at least a year to work on their own projects. There is absolutely no bad blood between them and they are all 100 per cent behind the decision.' Maybe they'll even do The Big Reunion someday.

Take a deep breath - there's still Union J, right....?
