Top Anime of Semester 1 (2010)

My top 3 are;

1. Utawarerumono - My all-time favourite series
2. Spice and Wolf - Loved the books and the anime adaptation was very good
3. Spirited Away - I can see why this has won so many awards. A great film with beautiful animation and attention to detail

Utawarerumono was awesome, and nobody saw the plot twist coming. Can't decide on the last two. Spirited Away was a great film, and the second anime film I'd ever seen, but spice and wolf was awesome in its own way, its really gripping for being an economics lecture.

#1: The Girl Who Leapt Through Time - awesome.
#2: Spirited Away - fairly awesome, but not as good as TGWLTT
#3: Spice and Wolf - pretty epic, in that I didn't expect to actually enjoy watching it, but I did.

Didn't make the cut:
Utawarerumono
Lost Universe
The same criticism stands for both of these - the plot really wasn't well paced. Uter was routine bad guys until the last few episodes. LU, well filler within filler.

1. Spirited Away - One of the greatest films I have ever seen, and my favourite anime I've seen.
2. Spice and Wolf - Pretty great series. Good fun.
3. Utawarerumono - Meh...as was mentioned Lambada, the pacing was really off...

The week and a half I saw of Lost Universe sucked. I've yet to see The Girl Who Leapt Through Time but am really looking forward to it.
