well, Hellsing was based of manga, and when they made this series they ran out of manga after episode 6, so next week is all non-canon. This is one of the series where the OVAs are better than the Anime. They follow the plot better, and although the art isn't as good, it has a better plot to compensate. Seras is a lot more badass, and there's a Nazi Catboy Vampire, and a zepplin sized amount of Deus Ex Machina. There's also a lot more blood.

Also, there was a translation error in the official subs :O
Alucard has an L in it. While it's pronounced the same in japanese, write the name backwards and you'll see why.

Indeed! I still don't know why people insist on starting the anime versions so early, but I'm really looking forward to the rest of the OVA's (if they ever get made...). The anime veers quite notably away from the manga even before episode 6 (the journalist, elements of the Valentine brothers' attack on the Hellsing mansion), but then it gets really weird - probably more so than the manga, and that's saying something.

I think it's a Nazi catboy werewolf (hence the Major's grand plan), but that has the bonus of allowing there to be other werewolves, quantum or no. I didn't notice much of an art difference between the anime & the OVA's - maybe I'm not looking hard enough. It was a while since the last one came out...

Spoiler: over 500 Nazi Vampires and their zepplins vs almost 3000 crusaders vs 3 hellsing members, one of whom is stranded on an aircraft carrier out to sea. Looks to be awesome...
