Minority Report (27/10/10)

What did you think of our more recent blockbusters?

I missed it, and it seems a lot of other people did too! If you saw this film, or had seen it before...what are your thoughts? I'd love to know whether it's worth me (someone who's normally averse to anything starring Tom Cruise) watching! :P

It was a really interesting concept, generally very well done. A bit head-hurty at times if you think about it too much though... Lots of twists that you can sort of see coming a mile off, but very enjoyable nonetheless.

I thought I hadn't seen this before, but quite early on it transpired that I had! Thankfully, I had forgotten most of the plot so I was able to enjoy it.

You'll mainly find me at Anime, but also at some of the Classic and Contemporary screenings. I'm usually in the student centre before screenings too.

I heard things about the ending, and that it was a bit 'happy Hollywood' in contrast with the rest of the film...but read theories that it might all be in the character's head...

What do you make of it?

Yeah, it was all a bit happy happy and pretty predictable, but it's fairly brief so you can generally ignore it. Theories... Well, you can see it however you like. It honestly doesn't make much difference; even if it is the case, they're so subtle about it you don't get the 'wow that's a really big twist' feeling you would normally get in that situation.

I've seen it and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I love the twists and the chase with the pre-cog. :D

The ending is a bit blury though, besides the epilogue with the precogs in the cottage.
