*giggle* Haven't watched Dwarf in ages, I think the T-shirt factory one was the best though ^_^ 15 seconds unfortunately... which incedentally is one of the quotes on Robin's T-shirts

Some Jhonen Vasquez related quotes:

"I've done horrifying things with salad tongs. It's really eaten into my social life."

"No, Daddy! No!! He's weird, and scary! And I don't like him!! And he's the son of Satan!!"

"Please ma'am, if you don't buy my candy, my little brother will go insane."

"I'm human, yep! Human, human, human! Just look at my neck!"

"Don't touch anything...or I'll melt your face off or something."

"Aww...I wanted to explode!"

"Organizm behind door is friend. Do not bludgeon with toaster."

"On a crowded street, I could drain a flower vendor of all his blood, and not get caught!! People would scream and vomit, and yet, somehow, I would walk away unscathed. I could do that!! ...Oh, wait....I did do that!!"

The last one is awesome, but too long. I'm tempted by the candy one though. :D

One I found on the intarwebs. A little late, perhaps, but I thought it was too good to keep to myself:

I never realised it, but Bucky O Hare started life as a comic, and it was apparently much darker than the TV series. I'd really like to read it, it sounds pretty good.

I know this would not fit on a t shirt, nor would I try, but right now my Twilight fangirldom is getting the better of me so I feel I have to put it down anyway.

"Bella, I’ve already expended a great deal of personal effort at this point to keep you alive. I’m not about to let you behind the wheel of a vehicle when you can’t even walk straight. Besides, friends don’t let friends drive drunk."
"Drunk?"
"You’re intoxicated by my very presence."

It makes me smile.

As I'm on this hoopy HHGG trip, so here are some I'd like to use on a hoodie of shirt:

"I'm just this guy, y'know?"

"Insanity's a gradual thing, don't rush it."

I do own a shirt that says

"If there's anything mor important than my ego, I want it rounded up and shot!"

or at least said that - those iron on transfers aren't particularly robust.

"Yes Your breathing."

Or something.

It is really nice thread. I enjoyed reading it. I want to share one thing that I had a T-shirt which has a quote that "Catch me if you can".

Time to start thinking about quotes for t-shirts again, guys...t-shirts will hopefully be available to order before the end of term!

For those not having bought/seen a sci-fi t-shirt before, t-shirts will most likely feature a the sci-fi logo on the front, with your own choice of quote on the back. I've also badgered James to use a supplier that also do 'girl-fit' t-shirts this year, so hopefully we should be able to cater better for the female members of the society. :D

It isn't funny, but I've always absolutely loved "I move the stars for no one" from Labyrinth.

"What a crazy random happenstance", "I have a PhD in Horribleness", and "It's curtains for you. Lacy, gently wafting curtains" (the latter doesn't really make out-of-context sense if you include the 'Doctor Horrible'), all short enough to work and from a wonderful film.

"It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache..."

"It's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly.... timey-wimey.... stuff" or "This is my Timey-Wimey Detector. Goes "ding" when there's stuff."

I second the RHPS one (It's not easy having a good time...."
and the Doctor Who timey-wimey ones

Good news everyone! I've heard from the supplier and it should be around £11 for a t-shirt this year! Get your thinking caps on and think of your quote!

Barring any major screw-ups with the sample I've got ordered we should be looking to take orders from the first screening of the year! (The Revision week one)

As with the Quiz and Party payment will be through BathStudent so make sure to give whichever committee member you give the order to your Bath Username so we can make sure everyone's paid up! Alternately e-mail the society account at su8scifi@bath.ac.uk with your desired size and quote.

Just to clarify:

What are the sizing options this year?

Am I right in assuming all t-shirts are black, with the sci-fi logo on the front? What kind of size is the logo when its on the t-shirt?

All t-shirts are indeed black with the sci-fi logo on the front. As for sizing and positioning of the logo I'm waiting for a sample to arrive but it will be fairly large and centred on the front,

So with the promise of T shirts in the process of being fufilled, any updates on sizes available/will there be examples at the screenings?

As for quotes, I'm torn between four-

What a crazy random happenstance.

Wow, sarcasm. That's original.

(Both from the awesomeness that is Young Dracula)
