Welcome

Hello and welcome to the Bath Archery Webpage, here you can find information about the club including upcoming competitions and general dates for your diary as well as more fun stuff!!

We also have a group on facebook under the name Bath Archery.

We welcome anyone and are set up to cater for the complete beginner, with the majority of members never having even seen a real bow before coming to uni. Once you've signed up you can join in our free beginners course running from the start of term, details of which can be found on the information page. All equipment is provided and once you've been on our course you can shoot as much or as little as you like alongside all the other new and experienced members.

If you want any more information about us or have any queries, feel free to get in touch via email.

Beginner's Course

by Jonny » 09/10/09

Well done to all of you who made it to a have-a-go session (especially the second one in the rain, good effort!). If you missed them, don't worry, you can sign yourself up to a Beginners course once you've joined the club on BathStudent. There are four sessions to choose from (two on Saturday, two on Wednesday), pick one (the first Saturday session is on the 10th and the first Wednesday session on the 14th; sign ups for Saturday and Wednesday sessions close on the 16th and 20th October respectively in case you miss the first lesson, but don't leave it that late!)

Have-A-Go Sessions

Our have-a-go sessions will be in the afternoon on Wednesday 30th September and Wednesday 7 October. Turn up at the archery field at any time between 1.00 and 6.00 and we'll quickly take you through the basics and answer any questions you may have.

We are getting everything prepared to start the new season! Old members, welcome back. New students: Look out for us on Sports Day on the Parade (Wed, Sept 30th) and at the Sport Fair (Tue, October 6th) if you'd like to have a chat with us. If you're interested but not sure, we'll also be holding some have-a-go sessions around that time so you can try out the sport before joining the club, watch this space for further information. If you have any burning questions, e-mail us!
