|In October, Reverend George Gillespie spoke
to us of his experiences of Christianity through his life, especially as a prisoner of war
in Italy and Germany during World War II.
In February, Craig Cooling, Student Christian Movement (SCM) group worker, came to tell BANG! about the SCM and do lead a workshop on priorities. Unfortunately his train was very late, so he gave us a 20 minute version of what he intended to do, which was very interesting. Hopefully, Craig will be coming back soon to try again!
In March, Beryl Statham talked to BANG! about a Christian perspective on the paranormal and her work in the field. Mrs. Statham's interest in this area began when her test-pilot husband was killed in a plane crash, and she has published a book on the subject.
In April, Sister Anna, an Anglican nun working in Northern Ireland, gave a talk to BANG! and members of Christ Church about her work in the first ecumenical school in Northern Ireland and the current situation in the peace process as she sees it.
