“Lifesaving sport is possibly
the most demanding multi-discipline sport that exists in the world today”
Welcome to The University Of Bath Lifesaving Club. Formed in 2002 with the aim of teaching members skills that could ultimately save somebody’s life. We offer the chance to compete in competitions, gain qualifications, keep fit, have fun and work with the community.

The range of qualifications we offer include the Bronze Medallion, Life Support and the Pool Lifeguard NPLQ. Not only do these offer the chance to build your own fitness and skills but when put into practice through our community outreach program make a great addition to your CV. The NPLQ is also an essential professional prerequisite to working as a lifeguard.
As well as qualifications and community work we also cater for those looking to simply have fun and keep fit. We offer pool training sessions three times a week with a dedicated team of enthusiastic trainers as well as a social schedule sure to keep you busy and introduce you to loads of great new people.
The club is affiliated with both the RLSS (Royal Lifesaving Society) and BULSCA (British Universities Lifesaving Clubs Association).
So if you are looking for a friendly club that can help you learn valuable skills, keep fit and have a great time ‐ look no further!
For those interested, training starts on Tuesday October 4th for returning members, or Thursday October 6th for new members. See the Training page for more details.
