The nonlinear eigenvalue problem (NEP/NLEVP) has received increasing attention in recent years. After a short introduction, I will explain how to use contour integrals to solve this problem for medium-sized dense matrices. The advantages of this approach lie in the very few hypotheses needed to use it and in the easiness to parallelize it. Finally, I will describe improvements and possible developments for the future.
