I am a post-doctoral research fellow in the Optical Spectroscopy Group of the Department of Physics. Since 1999 I have written three successful research proposals totally £1.4 million. My work is principally concerned with the development and application of spectroscopic methods in the biological sciences. I am especially interested in magneto-optics, magnetic resonance, optically detected magnetic resonance, polarimetry, Raman spectroscopy, and nonlinear optics. Transition metal ion containing proteins have been my main field of application.
