About Richard's Ancient
Sites Description Pages

The information given on these pages is not referenced as i want the pages to be easy to follow. However, general references can be given on request. If you think any information is wrong, or have any other information about these sites then please don't hesitate to get in touch. It would be good to hear from you. There is nothing i like better than talking about these kinds of sites.............
well, almost nothing!!!!! (see my vanity page).

To help the visitor, each site is given an Ordnance Survey Grid Reference, (O.S.G.R.), along with the 1:50 000 O.S. Landranger map on which it can be found (in brackets after grid reference). Also given are brief directions and distances from the nearest town/village. This information is correct at the time of writing but directions are subject to change between my visits. Again, if i'm wrong, get in touch.

Each site is accompanied by at least one photograph. Clicking on the small, low resolution image will take the viewer to a larger, and hopefully higher resolution image. But don't worry, none of the images are more than 60kb in size.

Should anybody wish to use any of the words or images contained in these pages, then please get my permission first. I probably won't mind but would like to keep track of the situation - i'm nosey like that!!

And, of course, any of my photos displayed here, and many more besides are available for purchase for reproduction or as fine art prints. The originals are obviously much better quality than those given online. Scanning just does not do justice to good photographs. Get in touch and we can sort out a price. I also undertake special commissions of ancient sites or landscape work.

These pages are best viewed with a screen size of at least 640 x 480 pixels in 24bit Truecolour mode. It helps if you have graphics turned-on and Black Chancery in your font file.
