Synthesis and structure of copper zinc tin sulphide photovoltaic materials for print technologies
Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) is a p-type semiconducting material. It has the potential to replace two of the most promising thin-film solar cells, copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS) and CdTe because of its non-toxicity and the use of earth-abundant elements. My research involves fabrication and characterisation of CZTS thin-films, polycrystalline phases and single crystals to understand the structure and performance.
