Applications are invited for a Post Doctoral Research position to work on the development of novel SHM based nonlinear ultrasound/acoustic techniques for composite materials. The post is initially funded for 2 years by FP7 project ALAMSA. Start date 1st Nov 2012.
 2 Phd fully funded positions available on NDT/SHM of composite materials using ultrasound/shearography. Start date 1st Nov 2012.
Applications from scholars, researchers wishing to spend time at the university of Bath are welcome. We are able to host a limited number of students, visiting research fellows, academics whose research is in line with our research interests.
Visiting Research Fellows/academics are not remunerated. We are able to provide office space and access to facilities , including the library. The duration of stay can vary, and is usually minimum six months. They are strongly encouraged to produce at least a journal paper based on their research at our university.
All costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are responsibility of the Visiting Research Fellows/academics or their sponsoring institution.
For visiting students a small grant may be available.
