Course Overview
This course will consider various applications of Markov processes including examples from biology (population growth and genetics), queueing systems, telecommunication networks, resource management etc.
The course follows on from the second year option 'Stochastic processes' (Math36) and, although some revision will be included, you must have a good working knowledge of the material from this prerequisite course.
