One of my friends at school was a large boy called Dave Wall. Dave was usually considered to be fat but suddenly in the fifth form he took up sports. Shot putting was his activity, together with weight lifting. He held the school shot record for years. Later he took up table tennis, and he hit the ball very hard! I wonder what happened to him. Last I heard he was ill in his final undergraduate examination, with no rules for aegrotats.
