The Composers' Desktop Project began formally in 1987, after a prior year spent in feasibility studies. Its founder members were Andrew Bentley, Archer Endrich, Rajmil Fischman, Richard Orton and Trevor Wishart, with technical input from David Malham (electronic design) and Martin Atkins (system software design).
The various subheadings under People detail the Key personnel at this time, the many Contributors over the years, the Locations where CDP users are to be found, with Website links when known, major musical Compositions created with the help of the CDP software, and a number of Testamonials from users.
