Subject: question

In 1987, Malcolm Wicks asked if the groups

< x, y | x^4*y^3 = y^2*x^2, x^6*y^4 = y^3*x^3 > = M,

< x, y | x^3*y^4*x^5*y^7 = 1 = x^2*y^3*x^7*y^8 > = W

are cyclic of orders 1, 11 respectively.

My middle-aged version of the Aachen system SPAS says that M is indeed 1
but hasn't cracked W yet.
