This site has now been removed. Why? Because God told me to and you don't mess with God! Here is my reasoning. This page involved writing down silly things that lecturers said and making them publically available. In other words, making fun of lecturers. Now no one likes to be made fun of do they? Let me give you an example. I mark the work of first year undergraduates and they often make silly mistakes. Now say I were to write all of these down and put them on the web for lecturers and postgrads to laugh at. That would be offensive wouldn't it? I would never do that type of thing. The same then must be true of writing down the silly things that lecturers say. Now what does God have to say on the matter?

It says in the Bible:
"Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgement on themselves."
Romans chapter 13 verses 1-2 (NIV).

By making fun of someone you are not paying them respect. Also God call us to love one another unconditionally:
"Whoever loves God must also love his brother."
1 John Chapter 4 verse 21 (NIV).

This begs the question "Who is my brother?". Jesus answers this by telling the parable of the good Samaritan (look in Luke Chapter 10 - if you don't have a Bible you can go to Bible Gateway. I suggest you use the New International Version (NIV)). The point being that we should love and respect all human beings despite their beliefs, background, culture etc. I felt that this page was in direct conflict with these commands and as such I have removed it.

I must also apologise for leading some of you into this habit too by suggesting that you e-mail me quotes. I hope that you have gained some insight into why this is wrong by reading what I have written above.
