Good evening. I'm a student at the University of Bath, studying maths, and in my copious spare time, I do a spot of salsa, Danish and Polish learning, and I'm currently attempting to learn some things on the piano - some grade eight stuff, and some Fred Chopin stuff. My former tutor kept getting annoyed at me because I keep choosing songs in odd times (5/4, 9/8, you name it, I'll mangle it) but I think that that's all part of the fun of music. (By the way, the background music is the song I apparently play all the time on the chaplaincy piano, but I assure you that I only play it on special occasions!) Talking of music...

If you want a bit of background ... I'm from Ruislip, Middlesex and attended Queensmead Technology College, where I did lots of GCSEs, and maths, further maths, physics and chemistry at A-level. Now of course I'm here in Bath whose university is the highest in England. This is because the university is perched on top of its own small mountain, which people ascend in a variety of ways to get to lectures each morning - by bus, on foot, or for those that are mad, by bike. I've also taken running up, and I ran in the Bath half marathon, and the Bathwick Hill Fun Run in March 2006, coming second. This raised money for the Romanian Orphans Action Project, and we all had a really great time.

You may have heard about my Tube record attempt for Children In Need. If you'd like to know more, then click here. You may also like to know that I am a Guinness World Record holder for visiting all the London Underground stations in the quickest time. For proof, here is a photo of my certificate.

Here's a picture of me playing the piano.

Here's me ten years from now, preferably without the policeman's uniform!

I am a Christian, and I'm in the university's Christian Union where I've met a lot of really splendid people and had a lot of fun, including playing the keyboard in the band a few times. God is the first priority in my life, despite my numerous slip-ups!

And my church in Bath is Christian City Church, which is currently meets in Oldfield Park, but is running out of space in its current venue! Back at home I go to Watford Soul Survivor.

Here I am in London with Maths Chris, Jules, Emily and Debbie...

And here are Maths Tim, Maths Polly, Maths Judith, Maths Adam and I all smiles outside Caffe Uno, after that legendary walk from Devizes to Bath...

I added this counter on the 8th of January. It seems to have a mind of its own. (Just refresh the page a couple of times and you'll see why!) If you'd like a counter from Pyzam.com which has a mind of its own, then click here.
